Reach Your Full Musical Potential

I offer piano lessons at my home studio in West Newton, MA, conveniently located within a mile of Horace Mann and Franklin Elementary Schools, F.A. Day Middle School, and the Fessenden School, and just two miles from Newton North High School and Brandeis University.

Lessons are available for children ages 5 and above, from beginning students through advanced musicians. I welcome young students who are just starting their musical journey as well as experienced pianists looking to refine their skills. Adult lessons are available for intermediate and advanced pianists who are seeking to continue their musical growth through focused study and individualized instruction. Lessons take place in a comfortable studio equipped with two grand pianos and a digital piano.

Grow Through Performance

Sharing music with others is an essential part of the learning process. To foster confidence and comfort in performing, the curriculum includes workshops and at least two annual recitals in addition to private lessons. Students interested in further opportunities may participate in festivals, community performances at retirement centers, and recitals or competitions hosted by the New England Piano Teachers’ Association (NEPTA) and the Massachusetts Music Teachers’ Association.

Our Unique Approach

Every student is unique, and my teaching approach reflects this individuality. My goal is to help every student become an expressive, independent musician while developing a lifelong love of music.

The core curriculum emphasizes age-appropriate technique and repertoire tailored to each student’s needs, enriched by ensemble playing, music theory, music history, and ear training. Students develop technical skills while learning to analyze and interpret the music they play.

From the start, I focus on expressive playing, whether students are learning “Three Blind Mice” or a Three-Part Invention by Bach. I also teach practical strategies for effective practice during the days between lessons.

Lessons That Fit Your Life

Weekly lessons are scheduled during the academic year at a consistent time and are either 45 or 60 minutes long. Shorter lessons may be available for younger children on a case-by-case basis. Parents of children aged 7 or younger are expected to attend lessons to support their child’s progress. Students must have an instrument at home for daily practice. While a digital piano with a full-sized, weighted keyboard is acceptable for first-year beginners, an acoustic piano is required afterward for continued progress.

Current Availability

At this time, my studio is fully enrolled for Fall 2026.

I maintain a waiting list for future openings and welcome inquiries from motivated students who are interested in studying piano. The studio is a good fit for students who enjoy classical repertoire and are eager to continue developing technique, musicianship, and artistic expression.
